Conferences are an important part of our continued efforts to help foster workforce development in the state of Missouri. It gives each attendee the opportunity to learn about new technologies, network among people in the same type of industry, stay current on new regulations and information for this industry. We invite each and everyone of you to sign up and attend the conference each year. We look forward to seeing you there! Mark your calendars for the 2019 Conference scheduled for April 24-26, 2019 at the Branson Hilton and Convention Center

The conference theme winner is:
Vickey Bonney!

Vickey Bonney is from the Park Hills Job Center in Southeast Missouri!!

Winner Theme for the 2019 Conference.

Vickey is a Navy Veteran who has worked at the Park Hills Job Center for the past three years. She will mark her two year anniversary of employment with the Missouri Division of Workforce Development this month! Vickey submitted the idea for the Kaleidoscope image stating: "It's kind of how Workforce Development is... all the different parts doing what they need to do so that when it all comes together all the little parts make up a whole wonderful picture." Incorporated with that image, we are using a reduced quote by Henry Ford and the DED initiative Best in the Midwest. Henry Ford's quote, the DED initiative, and the Kaleidoscope image merges together in this 2019 conference theme to highlight the many different WIOA partners, the success of us coming together, keeping together, and working together for the common goal of making Missouri the Best in the Midwest. “Coming together is the beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.” - Henry Ford

We want to thank all the MAWD members who submitted ideas, many different options were considered and we appreciate everyone who took their time to submit a theme.
